The mission of the Belle Plaine Parks and Recreation Commission is to enrich the lives of the residents of Belle Plaine by providing safe, welcoming parks and recreation facilities and affordable, diverse recreation and cultural opportunities for people of all ages to play, learn, and build community.

The Department advocates and supports projects to strengthen communities through sport and recreation. Communities that participate in sport and recreation develop strong social bonds, are safer places and the people who live in them are generally healthier and happier than places where physical activity isn’t a priority. We are seeking an individual who will partner with the board to carry out our mission to provide opportunities for our community. Please review the attached document for more information. Big Fat Stacks!
Don’t forget to come get your bellies full at the first annual Parks & Rec pancake feed during the Belle Plaine Downtown Festival! The board will be serving up hot & fresh pancakes and sausage at the community center on April 8th from 7am – 11am. Also for you TANG lovers we will have some on hand ?along with water, and coffee. The price per plate is $5, cash or check only. We hope to see you there!
