Three sites with full RV hookups are now available for rental at Belle Plaine’s Watson Park, 500 N. Logan.
Rental is $25 per day, or $125 weekly, for the sites. The base rate includes full access to electrical, water and sewer services. Rentals cannot exceed 14 days, unless the renter has been given specific extensions by City Council action.
Rental must be done by reservation through the City office at 620-488-3433. RV owners can secure a space by calling 911 after hours or on weekends and asking for a Belle Plaine Police Officer to respond.
The rules and regulations for the RV sites are as follows:
- All federal, state, and local ordinances of the City of Belle Plaine must be followed at all times.
- Garbage must be disposed of appropriately. Burning trash is prohibited.
- City water provided at the recreational vehicle park is for camping purposes only and not to be used for washing vehicles or campers. Backflow preventers shall be installed on all recreational vehicle or camper water lines.
- No open fires are permitted within the campground.
- Loud generators are not permitted. Other noise restrictions are to be in place beginning at 10:00 p.m. and ending at 6:00 a.m. the following day. No loud conversations, televisions, radios or other noise disturbances are permitted during the above hours.
- Pets must be secured to a leash, reasonably quiet, under control of the owner, and never left unsupervised. Owners are required to pick up after their pets.
- The discharge, igniting, or firing of fireworks is unlawful on any public street, alley or avenue or in any park or public place within the City of Belle Plaine.
